Be sure you are aware of whether you are signing up for the 1 day or the 2 day workshop, as they are very different. As you'll read below, the 1 day class is NOT a class in which students will be working with tools (hence no supply list), whereas the 2 day class is.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE - 1 DAY CLASS:
Ever wonder what all those Dremel bits can do? Do you cringe when confronted with a cordless drill? Well, it's time to pull those tools out of the toolbox and onto your workbench where they belong.
Join Keith Lo Bue for the eye-opening basics, layman-ready and safety-first, on drilling wood, glass, metal and more. You'll never walk through the hardware store the same way again!

NOTE: The single-day Tools of the Trade class is a demonstration and discussion workshop, and as such, students will not be making in this class. Please don't bring tools with you unless you have a specific question you'd like to put to me regarding your particular tool. Paper and pen are recommended!

TOOLS OF THE TRADE: EXPANDED EDITION - 2 DAY CLASS:
Artists can often be left confused and intimidated as they struggle to determine the correct tool to use to get a desired result. This is with good reason; many tools come with inadequate instructions for use (not to mention safety!). Add to the mix the fact that many artists like to work with widely varied materials, and the stage is set for this class...

In this new expanded 2-day workshop with found-object artist Keith Lo Bue, a myriad of tools and their uses will be covered in layman-ready and safety-first detail, with ample time for students to explore each of the techniques demonstrated.

Tools surveyed will include the Dremel tool, various hand drills, flex-shaft tool, jeweler's saw, and many others. In two information-packed days, students will be drilling, shaping, texturing and polishing metal, glass, stone, wood, ceramic, shell, plastic and more!
